Job Description

Established in 1979, Shield Services Group has become one of the largest national service providers in the asbestos, insulation, scaffolding, marine and demolition sectors. An opportunity has arisen for a Helpdesk Administrator to join the Mechanical, Electrical & Facilities Services team in Bristol.

Main Duties:

  • Generating weekly job reports for CM’s
  • Book all works & engineer’s schedules
  • Input leads, tasks & quotations
  • Opening new jobs
  • Organising documentation – engineer & subcontractor reports
  • Approve job cards whilst monitoring tracker data
  • Progress jobs to CM approval stage
  • Manage all data input on customer portals
  • Complete client engagement for FM projects – before, during & post
  • Follow pre-written scripts and procedures and keep updated
  • Raising contractor work orders
  • Raising supplier purchase orders and updating an internal spreadsheet
  • Chasing suppliers for order paperwork
  • Weekly hire reports for CM’s
  • Answer phone, action where applicable and relay messages accordingly

Qualities and requirements:

  • Good telephone manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Competent in the use of all Microsoft Office programmes
  • Able to prioritise work whilst working under pressure
  • Flexibility with hours of work to cope with work demands
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Committed to ongoing personal development
