Student Accommodation Bathroom Pods

Overview

Shield recently completed a student accommodation bathroom pod refurbishment project, which involved a complete renovation of the bathroom area.

Before starting the project, all ceramic fittings and furnishings were removed to make the area accessible. The team at Shield then prepared the modular shower and bathroom area, along with the existing GRP bulkhead and deckhead mouldings. This involved degreasing, sanding, and making the surfaces ready for painting.

To achieve a perfect finish, two coats of suitable paint (with the right colour, gloss level, and texture) were applied by spraying the prepared surfaces. Additionally, the inset vinyl pad was removed from the basin/toilet floor for the modular shower and bathroom floors.
